Have you ever thought about all of the different ways there are to get to the front gate of the Magic Kingdom once you are on Disney World property?
Perhaps you haven’t, but today I thought it would be fun to see how many different ways I could come up with.
So take your best guess and then follow along to see if you came up with as many as I did.
Driving Yourself
Let’s start with the methods if you drive yourself to the Magic Kingdom parking lot:

Driving Yourself
Let’s start with the methods if you drive yourself to the Magic Kingdom parking lot:
1 & 2. Drive to Magic Kingdom Parking lot (walk OR take tram to Ticket and Transportation Center) then take the Ferryboat to Magic Kingdom
3 & 4 . Drive to Magic Kingdom Parking lot (walk OR take tram to Ticket and Transportation Center) then take the Monorail to Magic Kingdom.
Start at a Disney World Resort
5. For most Disney World resorts you would take a Disney Bus to the front gate. Although there are 3 different types of buses (according to the Transportation Trading Cards) and two different Bus Loading/Unloading areas depending upon your resort we will count this as one method.
6. From the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian Resorts you may catch a Monorail that will take you directly to the front gate.
7. From the Contemporary resort there is a walkway to the Magic Kingdom. This is the only resort where you can walk to the Magic Kingdom.
8. The Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness have a Boat Launch that travels to the Magic Kingdom.
9. The Grand Floridian and the Polynesian have a Boat Launch that travels to the Magic Kingdom. (I counted this separately since the Boat route is very different and it has a different landing point.
Start at Epcot
10 & 11. Take a Monorail from Epcot to the Ticket and Transportation Center and then either take another Monorail or the Ferryboat to the Magic Kingdom.
Conclusion
So there you have 11 different ways to get to the Magic Kingdom. If you choose to go out of your way, then there are a number of additional ways you can add including the multitude of ways to get there from Downtown Disney (none of which are direct).
I also purposely chose to leave out ways like: take monorail to Contemporary then get out and walk. Or…take monorail to Grand Floridian and then take a boat launch. I left these out since they took extra steps to get to the destination.
Please feel free to comment if there are additional ways that you can think of or your favorite that I left out.
