The Walt Disney World Resort has announced its schedule of special fireworks presentations to celebrate the Fourth of July.

Magic Kingdom

The excitement at the Magic Kingdom will start a day early on July 3rd. During both July 3rd & 4th there will be a special presentation of “Celebrate America Fireworks” at 9:00 pm. These patriotic themed fireworks will be followed by the “Spectromagic” parade at 10:30 pm. The Magic Kingdom will be open from 9:00 AM until 11:00 pm on both days. Expect crowds to be lighter on Friday July 3rd.

Epcot

On the Fourth of July, Epcot will present their Illuminations fireworks show at 10:00 pm with a special Patriotic finale added to the normal display, making it even more spectacular than usual. Take note that the fireworks will occur 1 hour later than usual this night as the park has extended hours of 9:00 am – 10:00 pm.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

On the Fourth of July Hollywood Studios will have 2 showings of Fantasmic at 9:00 pm and 10:45 pm. At 10:00 pm there will be a special fireworks presentation for park guests. Park hours on the 4th will be 9:00 am – 10:00 pm. Fireworks are only presented on special holidays at Hollywood Studios, so this is a real treat to see.

Crowds

Expect crowd levels to be very high at this time, so if you are going to a park to see the fireworks, make sure you get there early enough in case they stop letting people in. Also remember that Epcot handles the large crowds better due to its large size and even crowded days aren’t as oppressive as the Magic Kingdom.
