This summer Epcot will be rocking with the music of Bon Jovi, The Rolling Stones, U2, Chicago, & Janet Jackson.
The "Sounds Like Summer" concert series is returning to Epcot to bring live FREE concerts for Epcot guests 3 times each night throughout July.
Tribute Bands Are Different Than Cover Bands
The bands appearing at Epcot are not the named bands mentioned above, but rather top notch Tribute Bands. A "Tribute Band" is one who try to authentically recreate the look and sound of the band that they are paying tribute to. Often from an earlier era that the original band doesn't sound like anymore.
The key about these acts that Disney has signed for their "Sounds Like Summer" concert series is that each act has written approval from the original act, thereby attesting to the quality of the acts.
This is a great way to enjoy the music of some of your favorite bands. Typically they play a diffferent set list for each of the 3 shows, so you may want on planning on seeing more than just one of teh performances during the evening.
Performances at America Gardens Theatre are scheduled for 5:45, 7 and 8:15 p.m. – except on July 4, when shows are scheduled for 5:15, 6:30, 7:45 and 9 p.m. They are included with Epcot admission. Here’s the schedule (entertainment is subject to change without notice):
- June 27-July 3: Karin Lawson - A Tribute to Janet Jackson
- July 4-10: Satisfaction - A Tribute to The Rolling Stones
- July 11-17: Slippery When Wet - The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute
