There is almost no better feeling than the excitement that comes along with an upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Whether you are visiting for your first time or your fiftieth, there is still plenty to look forward to and new attractions and experiences to anticipate.
Always Do Something New!
No matter how many times you have visited Disney World there is always something new waiting for you to experience. It could be a new Resort, new Restaurant, new attraction, new entertainment, or new outside of the parks activity.
By including new items as part of your planning, it makes every Disney World trip unique and memorable. It is a fun part of the planning process either learning about the newest additions to what Disney World has to offer or visiting a Resort or Restaurant that you haven’t had the chance to experience.
For my impending trip there is a surprising number of “new” items to hit, even with all of the trips that my family and I have made to Disney World (most recently in Mar-Apr 2010).
Here is our planned list of “new” Disney World experiences for this trip:
• Wilderness Lodge Villas
• Whispering Canyon CafĂ©
• Summer Nightastic Fireworks at Magic Kingdom
• Main Street Electrical Parade At Magic Kingdom
• Taste Of Africa Street Party at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
• Captain EO in Epcot
• Rock ‘n’ Glow Dance Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios featuring old favorite Mulch, Sweat, ‘n Shears.
Don’t Forget The Favorites
It’s ok to have favorite attractions and places to eat at Walt Disney World. These are part of the reason that you had a great vacation previously and wanted to return. By all means make sure that your favorites are part of your plans, so that you can experience them again and revive all of those great memories of past trips.
Here is part of our planned list of “favorite” Disney World experiences for this trip:
• Boardwalk Villas
• Dinner at Le Cellier
• Dinner at ‘Ohana
• Dinner at Biergarten
• Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (with new drop sequence)
• Expedition Everest
• Kilimanjaro Safaris
• Test Track
• Soarin’
• Family tradition picture in courtyard of Great Britain in Epcot World Showcase
• Tomorrowland Transportation Authority (TTA)
Planning & Anticipation Is Part Of The Disney World Vacation
I cannot think of another vacation destination where the planning and anticipation was so much fun. You don’t spend hours with your kids talking about what you will do when you visit the beach, but it is not uncommon to have countless conversations about an upcoming Disney World Vacation.
Disney World is a special place to visit, so it is okay to be excited about it! Have fun planning and discussing your upcoming Disney World vacation. Enjoy the process and get the whole family involved.
The upfront planning not only adds to the excitement of the trip, but it also makes the vacation go smoother while you are there, since you already have a good idea of what you intend to do.
Don’t worry that you won’t be able to do it all in one trip. Just start planning for next time.
